The Management Board and the Supervisory Board are the governing bodies of cyan AG and are responsible for managing the company’s agendas. Our corporate governance ensures accountability and clear allocation of responsibilities. It fosters transparency and facilitates the assessment of the quality of cyan’s organization and business. Aligned with the company’s goals of expanding the reach of the cyan brand, increasing awareness of the general importance of cybersecurity within our society and the future development of products, our corporate governance provides fundamental oversight and direction.
The duties of the Management Board and Supervisory Board and the cooperation between them are defined in the Articles of Association and the procedural rules adopted by the Supervisory Board.

Thomas Kicker, CEO of cyan AG since January 1, 2024, is responsible for sales, marketing, HR and finance. He looks back on a 15-year successful career in the telecommunications industry, where he started the still successful cooperation with cyan Internet Protection as COO of T-Mobile Austria. After telecommunications, he was responsible for successful international growth in start-up and scale-up companies at Palantir and blackshark.ai. At cyan, he focuses in particular on customers and their long-term satisfaction, as well as increasing awareness of the unique technology behind cyan Internet Protection products.

Markus Cserna is head of cyan’s IT department, where his work is laying the foundation of our success: using technological advancement to support the fight against Internet fraudsters and help to distinguish us from the competition. He started his career as a software specialist for high performance security network components before founding cyan in 2006, with the ultimate vision of protecting Internet users across the world. Since then he has led cyan as CTO with a restless passion for cyber security technology, which proves itself time and time again to be the decisive step forward in dynamic markets.
Our Guiding Principles
Basics & Statutes
The internal rules for the corporate management of cyan AG, such as the procedural rules of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board, are guided by good corporate governance and the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code. Particularly the cooperation between the Supervisory Board and the Management Board is aimed at the continuous existence of the company and increasing the sustainable company value.
cyan AG is not subject to the legal obligations of issuing a declaration of compliance according to § 161 AktG (German Stock Corporation Act) to the German Corporate Governance Code or other legal obligations such as a declaration of corporate governance according to § 289 f HGB (German Commercial Code).
The basic prerequisite and benchmark for all business activities is having the confidence of investors, customers and employees in the high standard of corporate management at cyan AG and the associated sense of responsibility.
