cyan and Global Voice Group (GVG) agree on long-term cooperation

Focus on developing the African continent and on security solutions for governments and authorities

Start planned in Tanzania

Munich / January 9, 2019. cyan AG and the Global Voice Group S.A. (GVG) have agreed on a long-term cooperation. GVG is a multinational provider of telecom solutions with a clear focus on technology services for governments and authorities to securely process and protect payment flows. The company focuses its solutions primarily on the fast-growing African continent.

Peter Arnoth, CEO of cyan AG: “GVG has already an excellent standing and high market penetration, especially in many African countries. Accordingly, we expect a high degree of vigor for our joint solutions in these future markets. As an innovative company that has received several international awards, GVG is an ideal partner for us in many respects. After concluding 2018 with the most significant contract in cyan’s history with the telecommunications group Orange, this agreement is now a very promising start to 2019 and once again underscores the global potential of cyan’s cyber-security products.”

cyan and GVG will work together to offer national cyber-security solutions to African governments and authorities with the aim to protect and increase payment flows and government revenues based on cyan’s cyber-security intelligence. The first country will be Tanzania where cyan will provide a modified version of its cyber-filter for GVG solutions. GVG will be responsible for implementing the joint solution with the government and respective authorities.

The functionality is based upon specific cyber-security services implemented into mobile and fixed broadband telecommunication networks. These help to determine suspicious or illegal content queried by subscribers for operators. These requests are continuously filtered in order to minimize cyber-attacks on end customers and prevent negative financial impact.
